And I don&#8217;t always mean in how they smell \ud83d\ude42 I went to the McDonald&#8217;s at Hollywood &#038; Highland for lunch yesterday after not having a MickieD fix for quite a while. There were people everywhere as usual-the couple beggars with hands out. But what struck me most was still how mean people can be. This lady-kids in tow- right in front of the beggar said &#8221;Why do they let them in?&#8221; and that something smelled bad. Maybe I&#8217;ve just gotten used to pan handlers having lived in Chicago and New York City and traveled all over the country and world&#8211;but I try not to make mean comments when I see someone down on his or her bad luck. Because it could be me once again out there on those mean streets. And this time I may not get through it nearly as unscathed as I did last time. Yes, dear friends, I&#8217;ve seen homelessness firsthand before &#8212; a couple times actually. Not just the &#8220;locked out of the house&#8221; homeless either but no house at all. While I never begged I had to steal and that was no fun either. So, short story-if you don&#8217;t want to spare change, that&#8217;s fine but don&#8217;t say something you wouldn&#8217;t want said to you in the same situation.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know I shoud not be, but I am always surprised by just how fowl people are.
