As a noun<\/span><\/span> – dignity, honesty,<\/span> fairness,<\/span> or integrity<\/span> in one’s<\/span> beliefs<\/span> and<\/span> actions<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So many of today’s problems are offshoots from a lack of self Honor.  Criminal activity of all sorts occur due to a lack of self Honor.  Whilst there are a lot of crimes that are ALL about honor (ie Person #1 is in trouble for killing Person #2 because that person inpunged Person #3’s honor or some other such thing),  I cry BS on this mainly because Person #1 no one can assume the power to defend someone else’s Honor.  Short of someone being a minor or being psychologically impaired, the only person who has the RIGHT to defend one’s own Honor is that person – anyone else is grandstanding or being a gladiator or champion which in itself is a problem.<\/div>\n

There are scores of people in jails and prisons for standing up for someone else’s honor all the while the person whose honor was violated him- or herself is out enjoying the freedom the world affords.<\/i><\/div>\n

Standing up to a bully harming a third party for example — while honor<\/span>able<\/span><\/b><\/i> — is not in and of itself honor.  The harmed third party did not stand up for themselves – many times their dignity is in tatters.  I say "Punch that bully in the nose and even if you get pommeled you will have stood up for yourself with Honor rather than cowering of hoping others will save you."<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
