I’ve had quite a few PDA’s (Personal Digital Assistants). Starting out in the 90s with an Apple Newton, then moving to a Palm V, then a couple other things that I have even forgotten. But for the last few years I’ve used a Windows Mobile device – two to be exact. One just an earlier model of the one I have now. Since the days of the Newton, these little devices have really changed what we’re doing. Of couse smartphones are great tools, but sometimes I like whipping out my little computer and writting on the screen, forcing more than a few on-lookers to stare and ponder how close we’re going to come to the Jetsons…
This is what I use sometimes to get on the Internet, do expenses, e-mail and all kinds of other work when I don’t want to lug out the laptop or go to my desktop computer. I like it, give it a try; the Windows Mobile operating system has been getting better and better and with HTC and Linux (note Google‘s T-Mobile G1 phone) on this handheld units they should be called full-fledged computers not just PDAs.
