The calendar has turned again another January has come around. I see webmasters are in need of the little script to automatically update copyright dates as the CURRENT year not the last (or earlier). Put this little gem in your webpage footer and it will always post the year as the current year. No more having to change this copyright notice. The United States of Bloat! Each of the 50 states and territories is made up of counties or parishes or some such distinction. But did you ever think about all the other “government” jurisdictions that exist in your state? This graph from the US Census CBB is a visualization of the local government units and you can select different criteria – counties, municipalities, townships, special districts, and independent school districts. The visualization criteria is percent of black-owned employer firms and percentage of black/African-American people as a population in the selected detail – in this case all metropolitan areas in America.
