When someone is ‘flicted that means they do not have a visible deformity or ailment but just generally havesomething wrong with them. Afflicted can be used in this same manner to a degree but less comically but usually refers to a person who actually has something visibly wrong with them. Sitting here on the south Strip I am struck by just how many people are fucking ‘flicted. Thank you, Mrs. Williams (my 4 grade teacher) for such good use of this term that I remember it almost 40 years later!
From a job description today
I love this and I hope more businesses make this the primary bullet on their job descriptions or very close to the top. It immediately means no matter what OTHER skills you possess, this is of the utmost importance to us. Operate with high integrity, high EQ, low ego, an openness to feedback, and a willingness to learn and grow. The culture at this business should be fantastic indeed.
Piranha on a Friday…
So different than what I was wanting… but that goes to show not to expect anything anymore. Just fat-ankled bitches everywhere!
