On the road again

Once again I’m traveling for a paycheck. I’m here in the Bay area again, it seems like I was just up here—oh yeah, I was here just two days ago. At least the weather will be pretty nice up here. It will be abismal down in LA, but fear not loyal fans, I will be home just in time to experience the 100-degree weather that is in store for Angelinos this weekend. On a somewhat brighger note I am getting so excited looking for a home that even the prospect of living in the desert of Nevada is doing nothing […]

Mother’s Day and Dodgers Missives

First, because this is the latest post in a couple days, let me start off by saying happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers–including my own who has started acting more and more like a mother and less like a b*tch to me-thank God for small favors and blessings from above! Now onto the posting, it has been a couple weeks Dina I bought my mini- season package to the LA Dodgers and boy what a waste of money. Seeing as how I’m really not a great baseball fan much less a Dodgers fan, I am really kicking myself for […]

On the road again..

Once again on the travel trail Often times when I have to travel I have a great chance to enjoy myself and see the sights and sounds of the place I am visiting. unfortunately, today like most times I travel for work, I’m just not going to get that chance this time. Well this time I am in northern California again, at a place called Seascape Resort in Monterey Bay. Nice place by the ocean if you ever get a chance to go…

You are what you eat!

I attended my second Dodger game of this season yesterday. I’ll be telling you about 26 more attendances over this season. I have commented about the image of Humankind becoming more and more unattractive. A couple friends and I have some major conversations about this. But I truly have to post this or I’ll just burst. People are FATTER than ever and getting FATTER. I cannot explain it anymore. I was talking to a person I know and she said it best: “You just don’t wake up one day and boom you’re fat!” We think that is the case, right? […]

Down low racism just is in our nature

I’ve been piping hot about this before and wanted to get this off my chest yet again. Why are supposed educated people the first ones to be bigots on the “DL” (downlow) and the more blue collar of us just bigots straight-up? There are three things that have me thinking of all the “DL” racism that is more than rampant around these days. Of course the presidential election has some major undertones of racisim anywhere you look. The other day I heard on the news this guy say something that no one challenged and I was floored: “Hillary [Clinton} just […]

Where have I been…let me see

I constantly say that for a mid-30s guy I’ve been all over. That is why I love these maps. Create your own visited states map Create your own visited countries map I’m looking for travel partners to hit up the rest of the world together. My long-haul trip will be to Russia, Asia or Africa somewhere.

Earth Day

I totally forgot today was Earth Day. I’m not usually that moved for holidays and the like, but Earth Day isn’t really a holiday but an awareness day – so to each and everyone, let’s get out of your cars and see what you can do to keep Mother Earth going strong. I don’t have a car, and I’m glad I don’t because $4.04/gal of gasoline is nowhere near where I want to put my cash. So think about taking public transit where you can and recycle what you can too.

Go California Go!

I have to say the state of California did something truly amazing the other day. What am I talking about that’s so amazinng? My income tax refund that is!!! Now mind you I submitted both my federal and California income tax returns electronically on the 13th of April. Now I know the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will take a couple weeks to complete because I had to submit an amended return for last year and they will need to examine the return so they can make certain that everything is kosher. The amazing thing about California is, like I […]
