Been far to long since a post
We’re in the final stretches of mid-term elections and it seems that every second my TV program is off the air there’s a political ad. Sometimes there are so many ads that they step on each other. The Reid ad and then the Angle ad, then the Reid Democratic-sponsored ad, then the Republican Angle ad, then the DNC ad, then the RNC ad, then the DCNC ad, then the RCNC ad, then the DNC Friends for Reid ad, then the RNC Friends of Angle ad. My goodness I saw a pair of attack ads from the opponents for the Clark […]
When is the 12th of never?
I’ve always wondered if any scientist has ever tried to figure out when the 12th of never scientifically really is. I know it is just a saying but sometimes these things are just fun to baffle the mind.
Broadband connection woes
I have been confounded for the last few weeks trying to figure out why my cable modem wouldn’t utilize the max throughput that my cable provider was sending out to me. Well low and behold it turns out to be a fault in the wiring from my network box junction. l took the modem over to another cable jack and viola! New instantly is assumed by the the modem. Just to think I was going to go out and buy a new one just because I wasn’t getting Motorola to adequately address my issue to my satisfaction. So, to the […]

The easiest way to truth is a rumor
I heard an interesting rumor the other day that I pray is actually true — Verizon FIOS is coming to Nevada!!! I am exhausted with Cox‘s $60/mo high speed internet service and I have considered and dismissed CenturyLink‘s (formerly Embarq in Nevada) wobbly 10Mbps DSL internet. The sad part about Cox is that I would like to stay with them but I work from home and routinely upload large files (in the gig range) which can take 7 hours on my “premier” speed connection. The “ultimate” — the peppier 50MB/5MB service from Cox is $120/mo. Just not gonna happen on […]

Clear mobile broadband needs a little more oven time
I subscribed to Clear mobile broadband a couple weeks ago. Since Sprint couldn’t get their act together for me, I decided to jump ship. Clear is the mega partnership between Google, Sprint, Comcast, et al. Reported by engadget earlier this year, and confirmed by Google , the firm is getting ready to launch 1Gbps ISP service to select markets at ‘competitive prices’ (– hint hint ClearWire, owner of Clear). I think 1Gbps everywhere in the country will come sooner than my flying car, but hay I can still dream. About Clearwire Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ:CLWR), through its operating subsidiaries, is a […]
Come to grips on reality
Take notice that some (many) people exuberantly believe things to save their ego that is so untrue that renders the belief comical. Case in point: The old saying that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome. This is clearly true right? How many times have you kept doing the same thing time and time again every time thinking that there will be a slight difference in the returns from the last time you did that same idiotic behavior! But I have a couple more musings that I want to key […]
