Continental and United close in on merger deal I heard the first of this on CNBC this morning and then this posting. Neither company’s website United Airlines or Continental Airlines has any information about the merger. But I kind of saw the writing on the wall when Continental joined the Star Alliance last year based on the previous engagement talks from a few years ago that time with USAirways which joined the Star Alliance shortly prior to merger talks. via Continental and United close in on merger deal | Business | The Guardian. Strange mussings from the peanut gallery
Why can’t I talk and browse the web on Sprint‘s network? I only found out about this little morsel after the contract breaking period had elapsed. I know I probably won’t need to do both at the same time (I do have 2 other phones for work) but for $60/mo I should be able to do both. What I have had a problem with is using the GPS and talking on the phone at the same time. This is a major reason for me to go back to AT&T – I used to talk and get driving directions at the […]
Breaking Bad – AMC
Very good show – disturbing content, but excellent Breaking Bad – AMC.
HP iPAQ PDA not cutting it anymore
I purchased the HP iPAQ Business Enterprise 211 PDA considering myself a long-time HP PDA user. I had already bought an iPAQ hx2490 and loved it but as HP does not offer OS upgrades, I upgraded to the iPAQ 110. The 110 memory management-wise was a joke, so I looked at the iPAQ 211. HP worked with me trading up to the 211. Everything great so far. I’ve had minor problems with the 211 all along but it generally worked fine for the first 6 months of fairly consistent use. But then the problems started – and HP still has […]
Give me my gun…
or just a big knife and I would be happy! I keep running into people who either aren’t speaking the Same language as me or we are both way too self-absorbed to hear one another. Sad in fact cause I used to think it was me most of the time-now I know it is not me most of the time!

Where’s all this stammering come from?
It started with President Barrack Obama – sometimes stammering dozens of times when responding to questions or making impromptu speeches. But of late I’m seeing others stumbling through speeches or comments like they are on drugs. The White House Press Secretary, First Lady Michelle Obama, House Speak Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)and even Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) are all people who I’ve seen the last day or so stumbling hard through comments. Now as a person who gets up in from of crows I learned a long time ago if you’re trying to formulate a thought, there is no problem with just […]
Stop Telemarketers!
I have been getting these weird calls saying my car warranty coverage is about to expire. This is just a bunch of crap telemarketers trying to fish for customers. Stop the telemarketers Get on the FTC’s Do No Call list. Wait a little while for the list to go around and the next time you get a telemarketing call, use the blue box below to get the telephone/company info about the telemarketer (Caller Complaints) and then file a complaint with the FTC. Don’t just get aggravated, complain, and steam. You’re not alone. Take action! Complain to the FTC.
January is almost over
This year is going by, just a few days ago it was the first Friday, now it is the last Friday of the month.
hmmmm…. makes you think
It was like this guy was reading my mind. I’ve always wondered what the gibberish at the end of Prince‘s Purple Rain was… He is still one of my favorite artists, name changes and all…
